After sitting on the Mughal throne, he issued coins are all three metals gold, silver, and copper, from the mints like Ahmadabad, Ahmadnagar, Farrukhabad, Akbarabad, Azimabad, Hasanabad, Mahindrapur, Shahjahanabad and Surat.This silver rupee minted at Azimabad weighs around 11.46g. The obverse is inscribed with the name and title of Shah Jahan III and the reverse with the mint name Azimabad and RY year Ahad.
