Comments
This was the first issue of Ahmedabad under Baroda after General Goddard helped Anand Rao get full control over the revenue of Ahmedabad from the Marathas. I see this (the name of Lord RAM) as a sign of gratitude expressed by the Gaekwads for having gained the full authority over Ahmedabad. This should technically have been a rare issue since in the same RY (the RY is 39) we have the rupees with the Ram replaced by Gaa of Gaekwad. - Amit Mehta- Ruler: Shah Alam II and Latif Khan Note: Prev.
