Aryamitra was a ruler of Ayodhya, Kosala, whose coins have been found. The obverse side of his coin depicts a peacock facing right towards a tree, and the reverse side shows the name Ayyamitasa, a humped bull facing left towards a pole.Aryamitra was one of 15 kings who ruled Ayodhya between 130 BCE and 158 CE. Other kings who ruled from Ayodhya during this period include Muladeva, Vayudeva, Vishakadeva, Dhanadeva, Ajavarman, Sanghamitra, Vijayamitra, Satyamitra, and Devamitra.

Satyamitra was a king who issued copper coins in the Ayodhya region after the fall of the Kushan rule. The king's name is clearly visible on the coins. A quarter denomination of Satyamitra's coin is very rare and has not been recorded before.
