Description
Nasir Aminuddin Dagar (20 October 1923 – 28 December 2000) was a legendary Indian dhrupad vocalist, renowned as a master of the Dagarvani style and a pivotal figure in the Dagar gharana, one of the most illustrious lineages in Hindustani classical music.
Born in Indore, British India (now Madhya Pradesh), Aminuddin was the second-eldest among four Dhrupad-singing brothers, all direct descendants of a family tradition believed to stretch back 19 generations to the 18th century.
